At Women Destiny Changers Initiative (WDCI), we embrace the principles set forth in the United Nations International Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women (DEVAW). Article 4 of this declaration defines Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) as any act of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual, or psychological harm or suffering to women. This includes threats, coercion, or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in private or public life.

Guided by this framework and rooted in human rights and feminist principles, WDCI acknowledges VAWG as botha crime and a severe human rights violation. We recognize that VAWG is both acause and consequence of gender inequality and inequity, which deprive women and girls of the opportunity to realize their full potential. In response, WDCI is dedicated to implementing interventions that challenge and transform the norms, systems, and structures that compromise the safety, rights, and well-being of women and girls.

Our efforts focus on empowering vulnerable and marginalized women and girls, including those in rural and indigenous communities, special interest groups, and others at risk of being left behind. We are committed to fostering an environment where every woman and girl can live free from violence and fully participate in society with dignity and equality.
