WDCI believes that the most effective and sustainable change comes when communities take ownership of the fight against VAWG. We are dedicated to building the capacities of individuals, groups, and institutions within communities, transforming them into proactive change makers. Through training, education, and empowerment initiatives, we equip community members with the tools and knowledge they need to lead the charge in preventing Violence Against Women and Girls.
By placing communities at the forefront of this movement, we ensure that the fight against VAWG is driven by those who understand the local context and challenges best. This grassroots ownership not only strengthens the impact of our initiatives but also fosters a deep and lasting commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of women and girls. Community members become the guardians of change, working together to create a safer, more just society for all.

At Women Destiny Changers Initiative (WDCI), we believe that meaningful and lasting change in the fight against violence toward women and girls begins with the awareness and transformation of individuals. Recognizing the pervasive nature of violence and its deep impact on the lives of women and girls is the first step toward change. We emphasize the importance of self-reflection, encouraging individuals to examine their own behaviours, attitudes, and beliefs that may perpetuate gender-based violence.
WDCI is committed to fostering personal transformation, empowering women, girls, men, and boys to challenge harmful norms and make positive changes in their own lives. This personal commitment is the foundation upon which broader societal change is built.
However, individual change alone is not enough. To truly end Violence Against Women and Girls, we must engage in collective action through activism and movement building. WDCI inspires and mobilizes communities to stand together against violence, advocating for policies, practices, and cultural shifts that protect and uplift women and girls.

Through activism, we unite voices, amplify the experiences of survivors, and challenge systems of oppression that perpetuate violence. Movement building is at the core of our approach, creating a powerful force for change that extends beyond individual efforts to reshape entire communities and societies.

Our goal is to drive sustained, systemic change by cultivating a movement that is inclusive, intersectional, and unwavering in its commitment to ending violence against women and girls.
